Childhood Sexual Abuse
Children are among the most vulnerable members of our society. While all sexual abuse is abhorrent, it is particularly despicable when the abuse is committed by the persons we entrust to protect and supervise our children. Victims of sexual abuse often suffer devastating and long lasting damages that require extensive psychological treatment.
Parents of minor children that have been sexually abused by their school teachers, day care providers, coaches, clergy, nurses and other caregivers can bring a lawsuit on behalf of their child, not only against the perpetrator, but against the supervising entity for their own negligence in hiring, retention, and/or supervision. Our office is experienced in this complicated area of law and will vigorously advocate on your child’s behalf. We firmly believe that the supervising entity should be held responsible for their failure to protect the children they are entrusted to keep safe.
